National Curriculum
At Lodge National School, students follow the Malaysian National Curriculum, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence. We are committed to carefully nurturing and preparing our students for success in their SPM examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Beyond academics, our curriculum encompasses a diverse range of non-examination subjects, providing a holistic education. Lodge National School aims to develop independent, self-motivated learners and critical thinkers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for lifelong success.
We develop our students holistically to be independent and self-motivated learners and critical thinkers by integrating an active learning approach into the primary and secondary school’s syllabus along with various unique experiences.
Lodge National Primary School
Lodge National Primary School offers the National Primary School Standard’s-Based Curriculum ( the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah or KSSR) for students aged 7 – 12 years old. At all levels, emphasis is placed on the learning of the English Language, Mathematics and Science, although the Arts Subjects , Creative Expression, Moral or Islamic Education and Technology have important places in the curriculum. All these subjects are taught with holistic and intergrated approaches.
Extra time is allocated to the learning of English Language , Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin in the National Curriculum. In addition, special enrichment programmes are provided for the English Language , Mathematics and Science Subjects. Lodge National Primary School credits its academic excellence to these special enrichment programmes.
At the end of the sixth year of National Primary education, our students will be able and are encouraged to sit for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination.

Lodge National Secondary School
Lodge National Secondary School follows the Malaysian National Secondary School Curriculum.
Secondary School Level 1
Secondary School Level 1 is for students aged 13 to 15 years (Form One to Form Three) and is given exposure to various fields of knowledge using the national language as the main medium of instruction and using English as the medium of instruction for the subjects Mathematics and Science
In Secondary School Level 1 (Form 1 – 3), the students sit for the End of Academic Session Test (UASA) which is a school-level test that is implemented to measure students’ academic achievement at the end of the academic year according to the Classroom Assessment (PBD). All ques ons will be provided by the school. The dura on and date of the UASA will be determined by the Ministry of Education while the schedule or order of subjects will be determined by the school.

Secondary School Level 2
Upper Secondary level 2 is for students aged 16 to 17 years (Form Four to Form Five) is preparing students to continue their studies at the higher education level or the working world. The national language is the main medium of instruction and using English as the medium of instruction for the subjects Mathematics and Science
At the end of the fifth year, they sit for the SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) examination before completing their secondary education. Students also sit for the GCE ‘O’ Level paper for English in addition to the regular SPM English paper. This other result is based on the essay writing marks in theSPM English paper. The SPM English essay paper is assessed under the supervision of officers from the Bri sh ‘O’ Level examination. Although this result is not part of the SPM, it will be stated on the result sheet
