Lodge International A-level Achieves Groundbreaking Results

Lodge International School continues to outdo itself with every cohort, as the 2021 A Level cohort reports superb, unprecedented results for the 2021 AS Level exams. 33 students (49% of the cohort) achieved straight As, and of special mention are 4 students who not only achieved 4As at AS Level but were also part of our accelerated Mathematics program and achieved an A* for Mathematics A Level, effectively completing a 1.5-year syllabus in the compacted time of 1 year. Despite the constant changes and setbacks in our environment due to the pandemic, our students’ results reflect their self-discipline and grit, as well their seamless cooperation with our teachers.

Result Summary

Sciences
Science subjects continued to maintain excellent results, with 0ver 60% of students in Biology and Physics achieving straight As, while Chemistry students did particularly well, with 78% As.

Mathematics

Mathematics students continue to excel, with 68% students achieving As. Additionally, for the first time ever in Kuching, 9 students took Mathematics A Level in the space of just 1 year, with 7 of them achieving A/A*s.

Humanities

Over half of the students in Economics, Geography and Psychology achieved As. With greater interest in Geography, the percentage of A grades has risen by 50% compared to 2020, while Psychology continues to improve with over 10% increase in A-students, year-on-year. English Language students have risen to the challenge with a new syllabus, with 1 in 5 students achieving As, while Business students achieved over 90% pass rate.
