HOPE CONVENTION is a convention led by LEADEROMICS TEAM MALAYSIA, an NGO specially to train and developed leadership qualities among students. It teaches them about leadership qualities, problem solving, community services and education of morale values. The event was held on 11th June 2021.
Hope Convention is the biggest convention held annually involving students from all over Malaysia and counterparts like China, Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and many other neighbouring countries. Lodge National Secondary & Lodge International were both featured in this year’s HOPE CONVENTION as premier schools in the country.
Four of our students ( Eldora Sim, Eileen Hii, Chai Li Ren & Brenda Yeo (Form1) were nominated for the “Outstanding Student Award” for the Sarawak Region ( there are 5 regions Central region, Southern region, Northern region, Sarawak region and Sabah region) each had secondary schools under their care.
BRENDA YEO KAI YEE won the award whereas the other three students of Lodge National Secondary made it to the final. Our beloved Principal, Mr Yunus Apok also was nominated by our students and staff for the Outstanding Principal Award. He also made it to the finalist for the Sarawak Region. This was a great achievement for our school especially in this period of pandemic. The Leaderomics Club is a very beneficial club in school that trains the students in which they will be the cream of the crops for our country in future.
